My walking steps have slacked off so much lately that you may have noticed I removed the Walker Tracker widget. The reason for my dwindling steps is a very good one actually. I've been hitting the gym with my sister-in-law every morning at 5am and working out ever so diligently. I even bought a mini-trampaline to go along with my in-home palates machine.
As you may recall I spoke about my sister-in-law who is a certified personal trainer in a previous post here and here. Michelle Freeman is one of the best motivators I have had the pleasure to workout with. You can read moreabout her at Life Plus Fitness . She has created a program called LaFemme Physique. It is a wonderful online support system for women on the weighloss journey. One of the best ways to stay motivated as you know is to belong to a group where you have a partnership with the trainer and fellow team members.
Michelle's one on one training technique and exercise program is teaching me how to perform strength training exercises correctly with the correct amount of weights and equipment. She instills the knowledge that proper form, correct weight resistance and consistant cardio work are some of the keys to healthy weight loss. This combined with healthy organic whole foods has brought me to the setting and acheivement of many milestones.
I lost 3 inches off of my mid-section in a matter of thirty days. I honestly believe this is the result of much hard work, my ever vigilant sister and a fantastic product call Isagenix. Isagenix is a total body cleanser that flushes the toxins that are stored in the body so that fat burn can take place.
I am not giving up walking, not a chance. When the spring warmth returns I'll hit the streets and resume my step count along with the work I do in the gym. Until then please continue to read my posts about my weight loss accomplishments and know that I will be posting an updated photo very shortly.

Way to go! I bought my own pedometer a couple weeks ago and started counting the steps I was taking as a volunteer dog walker at my local SPCA.
Next to a sister-in-law this is an appreciative audience that you can't flake out on ...
I've lost 6-7 lbs over the past six months and I get my best inspirations while this pack of love puts me through my paces ...
How exciting! At that rate, you'll achieve your goals in no time. I am really into strength training and am now just trying to maintain my weight. Eating protein and doing a high-impact workout helped me. I enjoyed reading your post and I plan to check our your sister-in-law's site.
Good for you! I saw your stats and we are absolute twins. I will be popping in and checking on your progress. You're inspiring me!
Keep it up, Debo Hobo! You have made great strides already. Way to go!
Debo! Could you please contact me at Viveca@FatigueBeGone.com. I am working on an article about 10K Walking and recoverying from fatigue. I would like to interview & include you. Can't find any other way to reach you on this blog besides leaving you this message in a bottle!
Thanks! Look forward to hearing back from you and Love what you are doing here ... Viveca
Viveca-It is good to hear you are tracking your steps with a pedometer. We just don't know sometimes how little excercise we really are getting in a day. 10k steps are a general guide line to follow and will make a big difference in a healthy weight and waistline. You may also want to invest in Dr. OZ and Dr. Roizen book titled 'YOU on a walk' I have it on audiobook and listen to it in my IPod or with you current TV Fast you can read it in hardcopy either way it is a really good resourse for walkers.
It is nice to hear also that you are giving time to the SPCA. I got my cat at he shelter and he is the best pet I have ever had. Those animlas need love and attention.
Julie-thank you for stopping by, strength training has made a big differnece in my weighloss journey that along with cardio. Congrats on your weightloss and maintenance.
Evelyn-Thank you for stopping by. I hope you achieve your goals as well.
All Seeing Eye-Thanks for the encouragement.
You GO GIRL!!!
Wow! You are doing great! I have bad feet and so personally prefer strength training. All my friends want to run... I'd rather lift weights! Keep it up! :)
